Now you will be able to watch some of your favourite episodes of the show on facebook

The other good news is it will be reasonably priced and you can pay using the Facebook 'credits' currency system.

So the latest Top Gear season should be available before all that long

And, of course, you will still be able to watch the show again on iplayer Top Gear as well as enjoying the Top Gear website.

Warner Bros. And Miramax have already done this with films and now BBC Worldwide have decided to give it a go with TopGear

Here's what you do
And you do it all on the Facebook site:

1. Become a facebook fan of Top Gear

2. select the episode you want

3. stream the content online.

By the look of things each show will cost around £0.94 ($1.50, €1)

To begin with select episodes will be available

the 'Polar Special' will be available this week

'US Road Trip' August 28^th

Vietnam Road Trip on September 4th

It's not sure they will be streaming the Top Gear accident

So what's the thinking behind all this:

I've already mentioned how popular the show is – it has 14 million facebook fans and it seen and heard around the world in many different langauges

Not surprisingly the show's popularity has made it a target for illegal distribution

It's been illegally downloaded hundreds of thousands of times by pirates use networks like Bittorrent.

The producers hope to cut out the pirates by making the show available on facebook and at a reasonable price.
